A Pleiade of Origins (Crossover)

The origin of many natural and cultural phenomena is set out, often with the moral aim of defining the ritual, relationship between mankind and its environment. Here, the creativity of the tribals is challenged as they attempt to create masterpieces.
 

Face Painting

Rules:

 

1) A team of 3 participants per college

2) Painting material shall be provided.

3) Preparation time: 45mins; Presentation time: 2 mins.

 

Collage

Rules:

 

1) A team of 3 participants per college

2) Material will be provided

3) Cutting, burning, etc. of base material is not allowed.

4) Preparation time: 45 mins; Presentation time: 2 mins.

 

Creative Writing

Rules:

 

1) Maximum 2 teams per college.

2) One participant per team.

3) The time allotted is 45 mins

4) Same topic will be given to all participants.

 

Sketching

Rules:

 

1) Maximum 2 teams per college.

2) One participant per college

3) Participants are required to get their own sketching material.

 

Rapid Rangoli

Rules:

 

1) Maximum 2 teams per college

2) Two members per team

3) Participants are to bring their own rangoli material.

 

 

Ayahuasca Journey (Treasure Hunt)

Ayahuasca journey to the Amazon rainforest is focused on healing and self-exploration, offering a transformative encounter with the magical powers of nature through the ancient rituals of the Amazon. So find yourself, find the treasure while rediscovering the Amazon.

 

Rules:

 

1) Only 1 team per college is allowed.

2) Teams of minimum 3 members & maximum 5 members

3) Registrations will be done prior to the event.

4) Each team should report strictly on time as late entries will not be entertained.

 

Biodanza Inca (Group Dance)

Biodanza is a dance of life. Everything is sound and motion: dancing and playing vibrate in a world of harmony which leads us to ourselves. Let your hair down and join in the celebration called life.

 

Rules:

 

1) A team of min. 5 & max. 15 members per college is allowed.

2) Each team is allowed to perform for 10 mins for elimination round. Every minute exceeded will count for negative marking.

3) Any indecency/ obscenity/ vulgarity will not be tolerated and is liable for disqualification without clarification.

4) The prop used cannot include fire & water.

5) The judges’ decision will be final and binding.

6) The participants are required to bring 2 CD’s of their songs and to be present 45 mins before the event.

 

Apocalypto (JAM)

No one can outrun their destiny. Your destiny will be tested against time. Fight for your pride and outrun your adversaries for your survival.

 

Rules:

 

1) Two participants per college.

2) Three rounds (elimination based on number of entries)

3) Basic rules of JAM apply and will be told on the spot.

 

Mr. Viracocha & Ms. Chasca (Fashion Show)

Mr. Viracocha & Ms. Chasca (Fashion Show) Of all the valiant Warriors & gorgeous Maidens in the tribes only two will be crowned Mr. Viracocha- the God of Warriors & Ms. Chasca- the Goddess of Beauty.

 

Rules:

 

1) Elimination round & final round will be conducted.

2) The elimination round will include a ramp walk, talk & attitude. Final stage will be informed to shortlisted participants, which will be decided on the number of entries. 2 girls & 2 guys will be allowed per team per college.

3) Participants should refrain from anything indecent/ obscene/ vulgar.

4) Rules are subject to change as per situation.

 

Apu Suntur Tiyana (Street Play)

Performed under the open skies, Apu Suntur Tiyana is a platform for the tribes to showcase their talent for theatrics and drama. A team of mimimum 6 to maximum 10 members from each college can perform either in English, Hindi or Marathi on any of the following themes.

 

Themes:

 

1) Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro

2) Kal Kya Hoga?

3) Jungle Mein Mangal.

 

Rules

 

1) Without the use of props the team should perform for minimum of 10 mins & maximum of 15 mins.

2) Any theatrics for more than 15 mins will be negatively marked for every minute exceeded.

3) Only one team per college is allowed.

4) Teams can choose any one of the above mentioned topics, irrespective of the language used in street play.

 

Sonsochakoq (Dumb Charades)

The enemy is at the gates. You want to alert your tribe. But breaking the silence means betraying the location. So convey your message without saying a word. For your enemy you are a Sonsochakoq- a dummy, but your tribesmen know what’s coming their way.

 

Rules:

 

1) A team of 3 members is allowed.


Note: Eliminations will be conducted if required.

 

Uirapuru (Karaoke)

The word “Uirapuru”is the name of both an actual Amazonian bird and a mythical creature. In the rainforest the bird Uirapuru sings once a year, when it builds its nest, only from five to ten minutes early in the morning. According to the legend, Uirapuru’s song is so beautiful that all other birds stop singing to listen to it. Both in legend and reality Uirapuru is a symbol of rarefied beauty.

 

Rules:

 

1) A maximum of 3 participants per team & 2 teams per college would be allowed.

2) There would be 2 rounds, one of the contestant’s choice (elimination round) & one provided by the college.

3) Lyrics would be provided.

4) Judge’s decision will be final & binding.
