Roles and Responsibilities
The Placement & Corporate Relations Cell of the Department of Management Sciences, Savitribai Phule Pune University (PUMBA) is entirely operated and managed by a dedicated force of 15 students, functioning under the guidance of Department authorities. The Cell acts as an interface between the industry and the Department with the primary objective of nurturing a long-lasting and mutually beneficial relationship with the corporate world, and also acts as a facilitator to provide the right opportunities for the students at PUMBA.
The Cell maintains an ever-growing database of the corporate contacts and closely liaison with each of them. Not only does this help with a better understanding of the expectations and requirements from the industry, but it also serves to fulfill them since these interactions facilitate in organizing various developmental activities like Seminars, Workshops and Meets, in coordination with other student bodies.
The Cell is responsible for Summer Internships and the Placement Recruitment Procedure for the batch. The Cell has to ensure that each student undergoing placements through the campus complies with the Campus Recruitment Program (CRP) Policy as laid down by the Department. The Cell approaches organizations for recruitment, maintains an extensive record of the students’ qualifications, conducts various training and development activities, and provides with the logistical support to the recruiters to seamlessly conduct their process.
The Placement Cell tirelessly endeavours to help the students at PUMBA to put their best foot forward while stepping into the corporate world. The Cell has immense gratitude for the recruiters to repose their faith in PUMBA. With the constant support of the recruiters and the Cell’s work,
PUMBA has managed to achieve above par placements year after year, with the objective of achieving greater heights.
